International Workplace Group (IWG) promotes equal opportunity and a workplace and business environment free from discrimination and harassment, where everyone is treated with dignity, fairness and respect. Guided by our Statement of Commitment and Supplier Code of Conduct, we support human rights and take responsibility for the social and environmental impacts of our activities.
Compliance with Legal Requirements
We comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements in the jurisdictions in which we operate and review this statement annually to reflect changes in law, regulation and our business.
Fair Treatment and equal opportunity for all customers
IWG is proud to serve our customers through a broad range of workspace options via distinctive brand offerings and locations, all embracing the principles of a safe and inclusive environment.
All IWG workspaces are equal opportunity environments, and we do not tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind, whether against an IWG employee, customer, supplier or a visitor to our workspaces.
Concerns can be raised through local community teams or our independently operated ethics portal.
Fair Treatment and active encouragement of equal opportunities and inclusion for all employees.
Across the employment lifecycle we support inclusive recruitment, equal remuneration for work of equal value in line with International Labour Organization principles, accessible learning through IWG Academy, and mandatory training on non-discrimination and harassment.
IWG supports diverse, inclusive and safe workspaces with accessibility for all. IWG recognizes the importance of accessibility and the physical environment in fostering inclusion. IWG aims for offices to be designed or progressively adapted to accommodate differently abled persons, ensuring safe, comfortable, and accessible workspaces that support full participation in the workplace.
Equal Treatment and Opportunities Across the Value Chain
We extend these expectations throughout our value chain and require suppliers to provide respectful, inclusive working environments where all individuals have equal opportunities and are treated with dignity and respect.
Further details can be found in our Supplier Code of Conduct.
Protection and enhancement of the communities in which we operate
IWG strives to ensure all locations are free from discriminatory practices, and provides clear guidelines to all IWG communities, including franchise operations through our brand standards.
Globally we seek to align with international human rights standards while complying with national law. Where national legal frameworks do not provide protection consistent with international standards, we expect our customers, colleagues and partners to operate in line with internationally recognised human rights principles to the greatest extent possible.
We strive to mitigate any potential negative effects on local cultures, communities or natural resources through our sustainability commitments.
Roles and Responsibilities
IWG supports equal opportunities through our governance framework, Board oversight and global sustainability programme aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We monitor our activities to identify and address our most significant risks and impacts and engage with customers, colleagues and community stakeholders to strengthen our approach. Further detail is provided in our Stakeholder Engagement Policy.
All IWG team members have access to relevant training to encourage compliance with local laws whilst also having access to open and anonymous systems to share issues via our ethics portal which is operated by an independent third party.
This statement is reviewed annually and updated in line with evolving best practice and regulatory requirements.
