New markets added to Regus parent company IWG’s expanding regional footprint continue to fuel the group’s rapidly growing worldwide network
Franchise partners in Togo, Libya, Guinea, and Gabon have been the latest to embrace opportunities with Regus in Africa, signalling a trend of commercial property estates diversifying their portfolios with flexible workspace solutions. The new North and West Africa openings bring the brand’s global portfolio up to a total of 120 territories.
Set in the heart of Lomé in Togo, a new Regus centre is launching in July 2021 as a franchise partnership with investment and real estate firm Confortis International Group, located in the business district of GTA Lomé II, just 10 minutes from Lomé-Tokoin International Airport. Facilities include a coworking space, private meeting rooms, and a business lounge fitted with state-of-the-art technology, 160 workstations, and six meeting and conference rooms.
In Libya, the capital Tripoli will welcome its first Regus centre in June, in partnership with Alhareth Ghattour, featuring coworking space, meeting and conference rooms as well as a business lounge, set in a central financial district that combines historical architecture with modern infrastructure and amenities.
Just minutes from the airport, Regus will open a centre in the Guinean capital of Conakry, in collaboration with the Sonoco Group. Set to open in May, the Tour Niger centre will be within reach of the Presidential Palace, several ministries, the port, as well as the city’s major hotels and banks.
Regus is also set to open its first flexible workspace in Gabon, one of Africa’s largest oil producers. Located in the Petit Paris area of Libreville, the Regus Serena Building features 38 private offices, dedicated co-working space with 100 workstations and two meeting rooms, and is just a 15-minute drive from Leon Mba International Airport.
Of the new partnerships, Founder and CEO of IWG Mark Dixon said:
“With the latest openings in Togo, Libya, Gabon and Guinea, we are delighted to expand our rapidly growing network to over 25 countries in Africa. Studies have shown that globally, the flexible workspace industry will support the creation of 30 million new jobs and we are proud to be playing a part in unlocking the growth opportunities afforded by the sector to new markets across the globe”.
